I found these two loitering at the edge of a mall parking lot. On the left, we have a 2014 Ford Taurus SHO, and on the right a 2014 Audi S4. Both of these cars are all-wheel drive, forced induction V6 sedans, and both go from 0-60 in 5.1 seconds. This is where the similarities end. The Ford is a big, comfy cruiser which costs between $35-42k depending on how optioned, and uses a 365hp twin-turbo Ecoboost V6 to lug its 4400lb. mass around. The smaller Audi is more of a corner-carver, and because it weighs just 3700lbs, it matches the Ford's performance with just 329hp from a supercharged V6. It will also cost you at least ten grand more than the Ford. Which would you put in your driveway?

Audi is probably the only one I'd fit inside.

S4. Much nicer inside IMO, might be manual, plus I'm loyal to Audi.

Ooh tough one. Ever since I drove a new Taurus I've really had a thing for them. For some reason I just felt great behind the wheel and loved every minute, and it wasn't even an SHO. I also have a very slight American bias as a Michigander, but by no means am I a buy American zealot. On the other hand, I much prefer smaller, lighters cars to bigger cars, so I feel like I might have more fun with the Audi. I think I would have to take them both on an extended test drive to be absolutely sure.

Audi. I love their interiors.

It also has the bigger interior, 122 Cubic feet to the Audi's 103.

I dunno where it comes from but it's not the space in front of my knees. I'm not even tall and my knees are like on the dash.

The Taurus's interior may be big in volume, but it's actually rather cramped inside. I haven't say in an S4, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was just as comfortable behind the wheel.

SHO!!!

Our first vote for the Ford! Which surprises the hell out of me given how value-oriented Opponaunts usually are.

Mmm S4 with aggressive snow tires.

the S4 just doesn't do anything for me. Inside and out is meh at best. That particular car reminds me of so many gym bros lol :] The SHO on the other hand is such a good product that Ford thankfully decided release. It's a SHO!! Legend in my day. It also gives me that police interceptor feel. Ecoboost, AWD, and that sleek and aggressive exterior.

SHO plz

Hate the look of the new Taurus, and the S4 looks fantastic. Not to mention, the S4 has a much nicer interior. So, definitely the Audi.

SHO, not sure why... had a 94 SHO, maybe that's it... but it's fat and comfortable and fast.

The Taurus looks like a nice highway bomber, and since currently that's what I'm surrounded by, I'll take the SHO. If you ask me in June when I only live a couple hours from the Blue Ridge Parkway, ask me again, it will probably change.

The Taurus is HUGE. I used to think it was large when I'd roll up next to one in my Integra. But even in my MZ3 it's still just a monstrous sedan.
What the world needs is a Fusion ST/RS.
